Community

Nellie Carlson School is a Kindergarten to Grade 9 school serving students living in Magrath Heights, MacTaggart, and Terwillegar South East.

The Terwillegar Community League serves the communities of South Terwillegar, Terwillegar Towne, Magrath, and MacTaggart. This area extends south of 23 Avenue to Anthony Henday Drive, and east from Terwillegar Drive to Blackmud Creek.

Joint Use Agreement

Can the community use the gym after school hours?

Yes. Schools that are rented to the community through the Joint Use Agreement must have a boiler-certified custodian on site during the rental period.

Nellie Carlson School has an evening custodian, so the building is generally available for community bookings Monday to Friday.

Weekend bookings may also be arranged if a district employee with boiler certification is available to open the building.

Please note that for weekend rentals, the rental group may be responsible for paying any applicable custodian overtime costs in addition to the regular facility rental fees.

All Edmonton Public Schools rentals are booked centrally through the Division’s Facilities Booking Department.
